Change Your Life, Your Neighborhood,
Your Community

What would you do if you wanted to borrow a hammer or a cup of sugar? Would you feel comfortable asking a neighbor? Would you know if the person walking down your neighbor’s driveway was a friend or thief? Would you know if the elderly person living across the street needed help?
Are you connected to your neighborhood and your neighbors? The answer is frequently no to these questions. What a shame!

Get Connected and Change your Life, your Neighborhood and your Community What would you do if you wanted to borrow a hammer or a cup of sugar? Would you feel comfortable asking a neighbor? Would you know if the person walking down your neighbor’s driveway was a friend or thief? Would you know if the elderly person living across the street needed help? Are you connected to your neighborhood and your neighbors? The answer is frequently no to these questions. What a shame! What do we have if not our connections to others? As Dr. Phil and others remind us, the number one need is to feel accepted. Do you feel accepted? Connected? Part of the community?

InMyCommunity.com is run by volunteers. Why? Because we know this is a great way to give back to the community. Why care about that? That’s easy—it feels good! That may sound selfish and in a way, it is. Connecting and contributing to your community does feel good. Knowing that you make some small difference feels good.
